In the UDL lesson plan, I used an online lesson building tool that aligns with UDL design protocols and ISTE standard 1b. A well-designed UDL lesson plan contributes to the learning depth and learning process, especially for the younger learners. While designing the lesson plan, I take technology and digital learning elements into consideration, and the implementation of tools to support teaching and learning is the core theory of ISTE standard 1b. Educators must ensure every tool and technology they use for the course for the connection and communication should have a purpose.

Education leaders need to know methods and theories that could help teachers and students in learning. ISTE standard 1b is one of the basic rules for me to design a lesson plan. Besides the technology, it also addresses the importance of keep learners connected. In addition, the UDL lesson plan demonstrates the idea of backward designing. The theory of starts with an ending in mind keeps motivating educators to produce decent work. In other words, the idea behind the UDL lesson plan not only meets the requirements of the ISTE standard but also presents the idea of sharing and connecting teachers’ brilliant minds together because while using the tool, you could publish your lesson plan online and get feedback from other teachers all around the world. Isn’t it amazing?

I designed my course in the field of Math, and the UDL lesson plan allows me to upload massive online recourses and materials onto the server. It saves me time and energy to manage my lessons and classes. Some tips could help you during the course designing. No matter you feel frustrated or limited, those tips will lead you in the right direction with some valuable solutions. When using this tool, I can feel the core competencies and the big ideas behind these tips. In other words, those tips from the website keep reminding the teachers that problem-solving, critical thinking, and idea-sharing skills are crucial.
