Develop learning assessments that provide a personalized, actionable view of student progress in real-time.
As a beginner in course design based on multimedia, the ISTE standard would recommend and align with a wide range of applications in my e-learning module designing. I discovered something more about this model by reading ISTE standard 3e: What Is It and How Can You Use It? Before I read it while making my flowchart on Twinery, the content was totally chaotic. I soon realized the importance of standard 3e. The model uses the evaluation part as a revising tool so frequently during the course design process. The ISTE standard 3e will play a solid role in my final project through every step I would possibly take. Firstly, in the analysis phase of my final project, evaluation allows me to pinpoint the audience’s needs so that the purpose of the entire project is determined.
Due to the lack of education experience, this phase will be the most time-consuming, because very information must meet the audience’s needs. Therefore, it is primary to use an evaluation strategy in the early stage of implementing ISTE standard 3e. Secondly, evaluation in the design phase allows me to find the right multimedia tool that works best for the task. when entering the development stage, the project needs corresponding adjustments by evaluating itself. During this stage, the course will be completed gradually. Thirdly, through this repeated evaluation, the implementation phase can join the whole process naturally in real-time. Even every part runs smoothly, it doesn’t mean the e-learning module will be perfect.
As mentioned before, this is a circle process. If the current audience gives feedback very soon in the implementation part, it means the evaluation played its role. Finally, standard 3e will make the e-learning module always be ready to change and innovate which means the project is not going to be a real final one under the effect of the education leaders.
