Assignment-4-Qiran-Chen-EDIT-663In the 21st century, social media platforms are trending among young people, and the audience is becoming even younger. How can we ensure the safety and privacy of those students when they are using social platforms for learning and sharing? How can we promote the social platform as a supportive tool in learning and teaching? According to ISTE standard 4c, it is the education leaders’ responsibility to protect the safety of the students and the faculty in the school district; moreover, they are also the ones who are responsible for analyzing and collecting data to develop precaution strategies.

Design the lessons about using social media platforms is meaningful and powerful. Education leaders should follow the ISTE standard 4c to ensure the implementation is safe and effective. As for me, this is not my first time knowing teachers and parents are using social platforms as a powerful tool to connect and share information. When it comes to students, we have to pay extra attention to it. Otherwise, it could be harmful and potentially dangerous in the digital learning environment.
In this social platform training session, the instructor will introduce a powerful and flexible social media platform to the participants. Furthermore, The lecturer will demonstrate the steps to implement Facebook in the learning environment. The main idea is to help participants prepare well before introducing Facebook to their students. Meanwhile, participants will share their personal experiences in digital teaching. By listening to different stories, they will be able to learn from each other and make improvements. At last, participants will identify the potentially harmful aspects of social platforms and purposefully implement them to their future audiences.
